Newberg, OR. (April. 30, 2025) — With Oregon’s sparkling wine industry in the midst of rapid growth, Vinovate Custom Wine Services is acquiring The Radiant Sparkling Wine Company, a custom winemaking company specializing in equipment and services for efficient sparkling wine production. The transaction brings together two pioneering forces to create the most robust set of resources available to Oregon producers pursuing traditional method sparkling wine.

Founded in 2013 by Andrew Davis, The Radiant Sparkling Wine Company helped launch a wave of traditional method programs across the Willamette Valley. Known for its mobile tirage and bottling services, Radiant currently works with more than 40 wineries and has helped clients craft some of the highest scoring wines in Oregon history, including the Wine Enthusiast’s 2024 #1 wine in the world. With robust demand, Radiant has been at capacity in recent years. With this acquisition, Vinovate will expand production capacity and scope of services to support a broader community of producers—from grape to sparkling wine—with both still and sparkling capabilities.

“We’re proud to build on the incredible foundation that Andrew and the Radiant team have established,” said Rob Townsend, co-founder and Executive Chair of Vinovate. “Oregon is now home to some of the best sparkling wines in the world, and this acquisition allows us to help catalyze further growth by expanding capacity and delivering the full range of producer needs—whether they are looking for custom base wine, tirage support, disgorgement or any other turnkey solutions in sparkling production.”

Radiant will continue operating out of its McMinnville facility with the same equipment and team, ensuring a seamless experience and even more capabilities for clients.  As part of the acquisition, Andrew Davis will stay on as a full-time consultant for at least one year to support the transition and future growth.

“This moment validates everything we’ve been working toward for the last decade,” said Andrew Davis. “When I founded Radiant, there were only a handful of people making sparkling wine in Oregon. Now we’re seeing traditional method wines from Oregon winning global recognition. I’m thrilled to see the category thrive—and this next chapter with Vinovate will help even more producers bring beautiful bubbles to life.”

“Radiant has been part of our journey from the very beginning,” said Andy Lytle, co-founder of Lytle-Barnett. “Their expertise helped bring our Lytle-Barnett wines made in the vintage méthode champenoise tradition to life. It’s exciting to see Radiant and Vinovate come together, and to know that even more producers will have the support they need to craft beautiful sparkling wines here in Oregon. This truly feels like the most exciting time to be a sparkling wine producer in the valley.”

Vinovate brings to the table expanded capabilities, including on-site gravity flow crush, primary fermentation, base wine production, tirage, riddling, disgorgement, and bottling, creating the state’s first full-spectrum sparkling service provider. The combined operation will offer increased capacity, flexibility, and custom programming for Oregon sparkling wine producers and others wishing to create a custom sparkling wine using Oregon grapes and expertise.

As Bryan Weil, Vinovate Managing Director noted, “Vinovate’s focus has always been on supporting Oregon producers who wish to create great wines from locally sourced grapes. The addition of Radiant to our group will allow us to expand services available to Radiant customers, including the production of base wines, and to use our greater resources to enable more customers to benefit from the combined expertise of the Vinovate and Radiant teams”.

Radiant customers will maintain their existing relationships and production models, with the option to tap into Vinovate’s expanded services. The company will also continue supporting mobile tirage and bottling needs.

With more than 100 wineries now producing traditional method sparkling wine in Oregon—and increasing global recognition for its quality and terroir—this acquisition marks a defining moment for the region’s sparkling story.
